More About BEEP
BEEP Kindergarten Transition
We are committed to a smooth transition for children and families from BEEP to Kindergarten. Our social workers meet with the guidance counselors at each school, toward the end of the school year, to share information about incoming BEEP students in order to help support placement and the child's adjustment to Kindergarten. Information from the child's record is sent to the appropriate school (i.e. the End of the Year Review Report, with your permission; evaluation reports and IEP's, if appropriate; medical information). Transition meetings for parents of children going to Kindergarten are held in the spring of each year.
Mission Statement
Brookline Early Education Program
It is the mission of the early childhood programs of the Public Schools of Brookline to provide an inclusive environment where all children from ages three to five can learn social competency, develop cognitive motor and language skills and expand their understanding of themselves and the world in which they live.
